Flowers in the Rock
Chen Luyu, the well-known media figure, host and translator, brings her conversation podcast of the same name to print for the first time: four books collecting 34 conversations from 2023 and 2024, I Have Decided to Live a Long Life, They Reinvent Knowledge, The Courage Not to Leave the Stage and This Is How I Revise the World.
In the first, she talks with nine women who went through low points or confusion and grew new selves there; the second turns to scholarship, ideas and the professions, in conversations with eight women scholars and professionals; the third speaks with eight women who shine in their own fields; the fourth with eight creators, writers, translators, artists and dancers. The seemingly fragile "flowers in the rock" bloom in hard reality with a soft but resilient vitality.
