Jesusalém
Jesusalém tells the story of Silvestre's life after the Mozambican Civil War. Grieving over his wife's unexpected death, Silvestre relocates his family to a remote area inhabited by wild animals, naming it "Jesusalém," where he waits for God's apology. Accompanying him are his young son Mwanito, his elder son Ntunzi, the war-traumatized veteran Zachariah, and Aphrodite, their only connection to the outside world, along with Silvestre's sexual companion - a female mule named Jesabela.
